Where can I purchase a hunting or fishing license?
We recommend that you purchase your hunting or fishing license when you arrive so that the dates on the licenses are correct. However, you may also purchase licenses online at the
South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks.
Do you provide safety instructions before the hunt?
Absolutely! Always think safety first. We require that you listen to a short safety talk before hunting.
Do I have to wear orange?
We provide blaze orange hats to wear while hunting. Although it's not the state law, Marv's law says you must at least wear a blaze orange hat while hunting with us.
Should I wear safety glasses?
It is recommended that you wear safety glasses.
Do you hunt with dogs?
Yes. Our dogs love to hunt! We rotate several retrievers over the course of your stay so that they are always fresh.
Can I bring my own dog(s)?
Yes. That's part of the fun. Out of respect for the other hunters, we ask that your dogs are behaved and that they will not run too far ahead while hunting.
Do I have to clean my own pheasants?
Nope. We have that covered.
Do you hunt wild or preserve pheasants?
Either or both.

Can I fly in with my own airplane?
Yes, to within 6 miles anyhow, and if it isn't a jumbo-jet. Many of our hunters fly their own planes into the neighboring town of Mobridge, SD.
